서울특별시교육청 정독도서관은 1977년 옛 경기고등학교 자리에 개관한 유서 깊은 도서관으로, 지식과 문화가 어우러진 복합문화공간이다. 50만여 권의 장서와 1만8천여 점의 교육사료를 기반으로 지식정보서비스를 제공하며, 학술DB와 전자도서관을 통해 디지털 시대에 발맞춘 서비스를 운영하고 있다. ‘책 읽는 정원’, 안국역 스마트도서관, 집옥재 작은도서관 등 다양한 사업으로 도서관의 역할을 확장하고 있다. 독서동아리, 저자 북토크, 인문학 강좌, 음악회 등 문화 프로그램도 활발히 진행되며, 잔디 정원과 분수대, 등록문화재 건물이 어우러져 도심 속 휴식과 배움의 공간을 제공한다.

The Jeongdok Public Library of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, established in 1977 on the former Kyunggi High School site, is a historic library and cultural hub combining knowledge and culture.
