프랙탈(Fractal) 이론에 따르면 어떤 도형이나 자연, 혹은 상황까지도 작은 구조가 일정하게 반복되고 있다는 사실을 알 수 있습니다.
아무리 무질서하고 복잡해 보이는 혼돈의 상황에서 도 결국은 패턴이 있다는 것, 제 작업은 그것을 확장한 '부분'이고, 이 '부분'이 반복되어 어떤 사건이 벌어집니다.

According to the fractal theory, there is a uniform and repetitive pattern within a small structure that any shape, any part of nature, or even any circumstance is made up of. No matter how complex or chaotic anything appears to be, there is still a pattern inside. My work is ultimately about expanding this particular part and doing so over and over is resulting in another surprising event.
